I had remembered that we always said this at Grandma Estabrook's table and then at Alan's moms. However, I had forgotten how it went and couldn't find it when we cleaned out mom's house. We had had it written in calligraphy and framed for a Christmas gift one year for mom. I appreciate seeing it in print once again. Thank you!

I guess that it goes to prove we should not take things for granted. By all means, we should remind family members about the reunion. Also, I ask that family please submit to me the names and addresses of anyone who has not received a newsletter or an invitation and who you think would like to receive them.
Kids events or yesteryear: 3-legged races, sack races, etc. (Russell & I have access to ribbons for prizes)
Offer photo ops of individual family groups
Pedal tractor obstacle course (kids ages 3-9)
Power-point presentation "Lets go back to our roots"
a 10-15 minute presentaion on historic Hampton & the Pearl family
"Bring a photo" to share: possibly a contest guessing which family member(s) in photo...
Just "brainstorming"

Thanks to Allen for getting this up so quickly. I don't think there are any easy ways other than everyone talking it up better with their respective families. It's not always easy, but we need to convince our relatives of the importance of attending. I will volunteer the fact that I just spoke to a niece and she said that the three of them would have loved to have gone but didn't know about the reunion. They should have, I assumed they did. Let's get our immediate family to come, at least ask!
